What is the difference between a Moth and Butterfly?

Today we discussed the differences between a moth and a butterfly.  When we were not sure we did some research on our class I-pads.

    You found some interesting facts about moths and butterflies. We had to look up the definition of proboscis because we hadn't heard that word before. Thank you for teaching us something new.

    I am fascinated that butterflies cannot hear and moths can! What a lot of differences for two very similar looking insects. Thanks for sharing.
