Hi from Renwick School in Marlborough

Kiaora
We are some of the cool kids from Renwick School.  We are enjoying reading the blog and finding out all about children from all around New Zealand.  We also love reading and loved listening to "The Kuia and the Spider".  We have done some talking about who we thought was the best weaver and we have had a go at making some turtles using our weaving skills.  We can't wait to find out more about the book, weaving and everybody else who is taking part in the Read Aloud.

  2. I love your turtles guys! This is another idea for us at Kaipara Flats School. We have done some paper weaving and now we are keen to have a go at some flax weaving. Was it hard to weave your turtles? Did you need a little help?

  3. It wasn't too hard to make our turtles but we did have two Mum's who came in and gave us a hand. Once we got the hang of it, it was easy and fun.

  4. Awesome weaving Renwick School! We think you are clever at weaving and love your colourful turtles. We think we would like to have a go at this during Wā Tahi (our Together Time).
