Kia ora from Rm 1, St Joseph's School, Invercargill

We have read the story and have done some mahi about our own grandmothers. Last week we enjoyed doing some of our own weaving. We made stars for Matariki and took them home to give away. This week we are going to try weaving with paper.

Greetings from the Deep South!!!

  1. Hi St Joseph's School, That's cool that you have finished reading the book. We like the sound of what you have been doing - weaving stars for Matariki.

  3. Hey St Joseph's I love your weaving! It is so cool that you have made a connection between the Kuia and the spider's weaving and the weaving you have done for Matariki. Awesome

  4. Hi again, St Joseph's! Our teacher has been thinking because we would really like to make some stars. She is wondering if we could Skype each other. What do you think about that? Would you be able to show us and tell us about how you made your stars? Pretty please?
