We did observational drawings of gum nuts. We went on to cover card with PVA glue, screw up a sheet of tissue, smooth it out, then stick it to the card.
We had photos of the puriri moth to draw with pen. We used coloured pencils to add colour then cut them out.
We drew an outline of a puriri moth on the collaged sheet. Then using the sides of crayons, we added colour. We finished by adding green dye.
These look fantastic! I know that Mrs Morgan's class at Taitoko have done some art too. I will try to get it posted today if I can. I'm sure they'll enjoy seeing yours as well!
ReplyDeleteWow! - We though your moths were amazing and awesome. We are making some this week. We also created a puriri tree in our classroom and will be adding leaves and moths to them during the week. We will put a picture up when we have finished. Room 3 WWS
