Kia Ora from Te Awamutu

Hi everyone, we are Room 2 at Te Awamutu Primary.  We are enjoying listening to The Kuia and the Spider on the TV.  We can't wait until our real book turns up by special courier.

  2. Hi Room 2! We noticed that you had 13 children in your photo. That's how many we have in our class today because some children are away. Has your book arrived yet?
Our teacher read the book today. She was working on fluency and trying to make her voice sound like the character's voice.
    Bye for now!

  3. Hey Room 2, it is so exciting to see all your beautiful faces! I am so looking forward to hearing all about the wonderful things you are going to be learning about together as you read 'The Kuia and the Spider'.
I wonder... does the spider have a name? Do we know what kind of spider she is? I look forward to finding out...

  4. Hi Room 2, has your book arrived? We have just discovered that we can listen to the story too. I wonder why the kuia and the spider argued? The students in Fantails thought that was a bit unusual. They loved looking in the pictures to find the different webs and at all the types of kits. Fantails
