Meet Tui from Kaipara Flats School

Tena koutou katoa!
We are a class of Year 2 and 3 children.  Our school is a little school in the country.  We have 4 classes.  There are about 85 students.  There are 19 children in our class.
Yesterday we read Daniel's Matariki Feast for the first time.
We noticed that Daniel's class had a garden where they were growing pumpkins for the Matariki feast.
Soon we will have a garden too.  Our school won a competition to get a garden.
Today we are going to go down to have a look at the place where the garden is going to be.  We will take a photo to show you who we are and where our garden might be.  We will also be thinking up ideas for names for our special garden and outdoor classroom area.
Kia ora,
from Tui Class

  1. Hey there Tui! It's so neat to see you all and super exciting that you're going to have your very own garden. What kinds of things do you think you will grow in your garden?
I look forward to learning more from you!
